Mindset And Strategies

As I look back on my soccer career I realise winning was all about 2 main key points, Mindset and Strategies, this is the same as what my millionaire mentors told me, to become wealthy in the real world we have to be a master in both these two key areas.

Like a game of poker, winning is a mind-game that includes careful planning and cunning execution of strategy.

Now most people just want to know the strategies but what they fail to realise is that these two points go hand in hand, there is no point one without the other, that’s like your manager telling you just go out there and win a game but not giving you any knowledge on how to.

During my soccer career I managed to make a lot of money, I had all the strategies I needed, money wasn’t a problem, I was earning around 70,000

90,000K a year at the age of 23, I was good at what I did on the pitch, I trained hard and listened to what the manager told me.

Unfortunately and like a lot of young soccer players playing today, I did not have the mindset for dealing with the money, I had the mindset for becoming a good soccer player but not the mindset for dealing with its rewards.

If I had know then that the Mindset of a millionaire was the same just applied in a different way and in different areas, I would be a Multi Millionaire by now.

Without the mindset learning the strategies is a true waist of time,

You only have to look at the statistics with the lottery winners to see this, they say that eight out of every ten winners of over one million pounds end up broke and more unhappy than ever within 18 months of winning. My mentor ALWAYS TOLD ME The Mindset is 80% and strategies only 20% in the journey to becoming a millionaire and staying a Millionaire.

People without the mindset think making money is hard and do not see how making money is simple, its like picking leaves from a tree, remember when your mum use to say money doesn’t grow on trees, well by the time you finish this book my goal is to make you realize it truly does, making money is as simple as picking it of trees.

As I’ve grown and my mindset has developed so has my bank balance, I get so excited now to think the more I expand my mind, the more my bank balance just seems grow with it, my world has changed at the same pace as I have changed, so now I wake up early and go to bed later, living every day growing in some way and leaning new things to help my life change even more.

Today, I live with a complete sense of certainty that it does not matter what happens or what is taken away from me, I know what I have within me is everything I need to succeed. And that inner sense of certainty is something that can not be taken away unless I allow it.

Taken from (The Soccer Millionaire Mindset)The Seven Characteristics How TheSoccer Millionaire Mind ThinksPassion Rules”Nothing is so contagious as enthusiasm. It moves mountains, it charms brutes. Enthusiasm is the genius of sincerity, and truth accomplishes no victories without it.” – Edward Bulwer-Lytton

In life all great things are achieved by those who have an abundance of passion, its passion that fuels the drive to want more, to exceed where all others have failed, its passion that gives you the energy to outwork or to outrun your opponents in times of pain and stress, its passion that drove Dieago Maradona from the slums of Bona Siras to the stardom of the worldsnumber 1 soccer player, it passion that drove Bill Gates from a front bedroom office to become the richest man in the world, its passion that leads our every day fight for greatness, without passion there is no fight.

All the best footballers in the world know when its time to take massive action, there are a lot of players that talk a great game, they love watching from the sidelines and on occasions turn up and play, but for the greatest players in the world it does not matter the occasion.

What matters is the chance to play football, no matter the weather, the pitch condition or the standard of the game, if there’s a chance to take the field, they grow with passion, excitement and desire at the thought of playing a game of football, and always perform to there very best of there ability at that given moment, no matter the occasion.

From an early age a soccer pitch has always been a place were nothing else mattered, the players age, their size or the colour of their skin was insignificant, it was just a case of having the passion to achieve success, as in life when you have a true passion for something you’ll break all barriers that are placed in front of you, you’ll go that extra mile and push that littleharder, because you know with true passion you are unstoppable.

We will discover later how to build true passion through the process of goal setting.

“The man who moved a mountain was the one who began carrying away small stones.” – Chinese Proverb

No Pain No Gain

In order to achieve greatness there has to be a level of commitment and sometimes pain to get to where you want to go, the greatest soccer players in the world were not born great, they achieved there greatness through 100% commitment, their pain in most cases is what drove them to become legends, their pain of there upbringings, their pain of there lack of money, their pain of their family suffering without being able to help, in most cases the greater the player the more pain that player has come from.

Great footballers like top performers everywhere are constantly pushing there limits, they continually strive for higher peak performance, they are always trying to be better in every area of play, they understand how a small percentage shift in different areas could mean a massive advantage over there opponents, they know trying new skills and different techniques is all art of growing and know that no two opponents are ever the same.

What didn’t work last week might get them a hat trick this week, they play each game a little different, always staying ahead of the game, taking risks and constantly challenging themselves and those around them.

In life most people are happy to live at some level of pain, but when the pain becomes unbearable it is then we begin to fight with all our power to move us from pain to pleasure, with the worlds best players, they took the pain of their environment, their family and themselves and combined it all together, then they used this to propel them to stardom, the key is to accept and harness the pain and use it to our benefit, to find ways of turning negative experiences into positive outcomes will bring you success beyond your wildest dreams.

“Those at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there.” – Marcus Washling

You’re Never A Loser Unless It’s the Last Time YouTry.

“I do not think there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.” – John D.Rockefeller

In life true champions are born from the never say die attitude, in the big world it is impossible for all our desires and outcomes to come true immediately, it is inevitable that at some stage of our lives we will suffer major setbacks on our path to stardom, as did President Roosevelt suffer when he was stuck down by polio, whilst others around him fussed and cried, Roosevelt choose to see the positive side to this illness and came toterms with his disability, although restricted to a wheelchair and loss of the use of his legs, he later became one of the longest serving presidents in the United States.

World class soccer players understand the power of the game and embrace the possibility of the sport, they realize for every grate goal they score, there maybe two or three shots that go over the bar, they understand that the team is made off eleven players, and one player does not win a game.

Whilst they go all out for greatness in every game they accept there will be times for them when things do not go as planed, and they get criticised from outside sources, but they do not let this effect them or take away from there focus on the desired outcome, they quickly accept and move on to the next game, preparing to once again be the best and lead there team to victory, winning is always expected but to lose is taken as a minor setback.

They understand that to miss an attempt at goal is not failure, but to never try to score again is, this in turn gives them the confidence to continue shooting for goal at all cost, knowing with each shot that misses they are one more shot closer to scoring.

“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.” – Babe Ruth

“I can accept failure but I can’t accept not trying.” – Michael Jordan
